Studio Policy
Billing and Payment
Please let us know if you have any questions regarding our scheduling or billing policies.
- Families with no currently enrolled students will be charged a $15.00 Registration Fee to enroll students in classes. This fee is charged per family, not per student. This fee is refundable if a family chooses not to enroll after their first trial lesson.
- Weekly lessons are billed for the same monthly rate at the beginning of each month, regardless of the number of weeks in the month. The months in which five lesson days occur (for example, January 2023 has five Tuesdays) are billed at the same rate, the extra days will cover student absences and teacher vacations.
- Students who begin lessons in the middle of the month will have their first month prorated.
- If an account is more than one month overdue, the student will be removed from the schedule until the outstanding balance is paid.
- Tuition charges not paid in full by the 15th of a month will be assessed a $15.00 Late Fee
- Students (other than drum students) who are not enrolled in weekly lessons will be charged the “by appointment” rate.
- Makeup lessons can be arranged if the instructor or staff are notified 48 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time.
- In case of sickness or emergency, the extra weeks in the year are intended to be built-in makeup lessons, however the instructor may reschedule at their discretion.
- Students who do not attend two consecutive lessons without notifying staff or their instructor will be removed from the schedule.
- We offer our teachers a flexible one week paid vacation (in addition to our Christmas break, see below.) The teacher may use this for personal vacation, continuing education, or to cover an illness or other absence. As such, a teacher may opt to cancel one (1) lesson each year without refund to the student or client.
- Unless the roads are closed, we will be open and lessons will be assumed to follow their regular schedule. However, if weather otherwise prevents you from attending lessons, our teachers will attempt to make up the lesson if their schedules permit and notice is given prior the missed lesson.
- If a student would like to switch instructors for any reason including, but not limited to, instruments taught, availability, or areas of specialty, please notify staff.
- The studio will be closed on the following days each year:
- July 4 (Can be rescheduled)
- Thanksgiving Day (Can be rescheduled)
- Christmas Day through New Years Eve (No makeups for this vacation week.)
- Christmas Eve and New Years Day lessons may also be rescheduled
- One month (30 days) prior notice is required if a student wishes to discontinue lessons.
- Failure to provide one month (30 days) notice will result in a $15 late cancellation fee.
