Larry Comer - Saxophone
Larry began his love of playing saxophone in 1965 as a member of his high school band. In 1992 he began teaching at the Conservatory of Music in Terre Haute, IN. It was at this time that he became a serious student of the instrument, mouthpieces, reeds, players, and styles of music as well as a proficient saxophone technician.
The saxophone is a very expressive instrument and his aim as a teacher is to show students how to play with emotion and feeling. Additionally, students are will be taught to play with a fundamentally solid technique; a valuable asset to their school band or any other playing situation.
His teaching methods are aimed at preparing students to achieve their musical dreams. Whether that dream is college or joining a band or simply enjoying making beautiful music. Several of Larry's students have gone on to play in college bands and ensembles. Click below so that Larry can make your "saxophonic" dreams a reality.
