Corey Pine - Brass
Corey Pine has been a musician since he was 11. His primary instrument is the trumpet. During his time in High School, he was a founding member of the Clay City Jazz Band, Indoor Winds, and the Clay City Imperial Regiment. He also was a secondary percussionist in 7th and 12th grade. In his senior year, he was an intern for his band director, Adam Rice. He taught on an individual and ensemble scale.
Outside of High School band, he also was a 3 time gold medalist in ISSMA Solo & Ensemble. He was a part of multiple honor bands, including the Indiana Bandmaster's Association All District Honor Band. He received the John Phillip Sousa Award in May 2026.
Outside of trumpet, Corey also plays guitar and vocals. He writes his own music and releases it on CD.
An incoming freshman at Indiana State University, he is majoring in music education.
