Kristen has been involved in music since a young age and grew up singing, playing violin, and also playing piano. Her passion has brought her to pursue a path in music education. She is currently well on her way to earning her degree in Music Education at Indiana State University. She has already completed string techniques and vocal pedagogy and also actively sings in many choral events.
She is a current member of the American Choral Director’s Association (ACDA) and a current board member of ISU’s chapter of the National Association for Music Educators (NAfME). She currently has three years of experience teaching music in a private capacity and has also taught elementary music in the public sector for one school year. While teaching elementary music she taught fifth grade strings and also started an after school honor choir.
She believes that every student she takes on is a great learning opportunity for both student and teacher and hopes that she never stops learning how to be a better music educator.
